John Moriarty (1938-2007)
JOHN MORIARTY was born in north Kerry in 1938 and educated at Listowel and University College Dublin. He taught English Literature at the University of Manitoba in Canada for six years, returning to Ireland in 1971. In June 2006 he received an honorary D.Litt. from the National University of Ireland. He is the author of Dreamtime (1994, revised 1999), the trilogy Turtle Was Gone a Long Time: Crossing the Kedron (1996), Horsehead Nebula Neighing (1997) and Anaconda Canoe (1998), Nostos, an autobiography (2001) Invoking Ireland (2005, revised 2006), Night Journey to Buddh Gaia (2006) and Serious Sounds (2007).

Poet David Whyte grew up among the hills and valleys of Yorkshire, England. An Associate Fellow at Templeton College and Said Business School at the University of Oxford, he is one of the few poets to take his perspectives on creativity into the field of organizational development, where he works with many American and international companies. The author of five books of poetry, he holds a degree in Marine Zoology and has traveled extensively, including working as a naturalist guide and leading anthropological and natural history expeditions. He brings this wealth of experiences to his poetry, lectures and workshops.

Sister Briege McKenna,OSC was born in Ireland & entered the Sisters of St.Clare at the age of fifteen. After coming to Tampa, Florida as a teacher, she became crippled by the onset of Rheumatoid arthritis. At the age of twenty four, she was miraculously healed during the celebration of the Eucharist and some time later received, in prayer the gift of healing for which she has become widest known. In 1974, again during prayer, she was given a deep spiritual insight into the mystery of the call to priesthood. Since then, bishops & priests in many parts of the world have invited her to speak and minister at their retreats and conferences.
